"I have small hands and this is a great little knife. As soon as I bought it, it became my preferred knife except in tasks where I'm cutting against my thumb. I use it alot and so the once a year sharpening schedule won't be enough for me (6 months--4 eating teens). The one complaint I have is that the wood separated from the tang on one side. I always wash my knives by hand, but don't always dry them by hand, so I'm wondering if water came up through the pegs on the side to cause the warp when it was laid on the counter. It's an irritation to me, but doesn't effect the function at all. I was going to load up on these knives, but because of that I decided to stick to this one for now. I haven't sent it to be sharpened yet so can't comment on that experience. This knife is a total pleasure to use and I could just about get rid of all my other ones. "
