LamsonSharp
is the oldest continuous producer of cutlery in the United States, established
in 1837 at the beginning of the industrial revolution as the Lamson &
Goodnow Mfg. Co. Located
on the Deerfield River in Shelburne Falls, MA, the company relied on master
cutlers from Sheffield, England and Solingen, Germany, and rapidly grew
to be the largest producer of edged tools and cutlery in the United States. |
