In 1789 brothers François and Joseph Revol took a Sunday stroll near their village of Saint-Uze, France, located between the Rhône and the Alps, Lyon and Provence. Amazingly, they discovered a deposit of kaolin, a fine, unusually white clay that is used to create beautiful porcelain. The result of that historic Sunday walk was the founding of the first factory for the production of craft pottery, now led by the 7th generation descendants of François and Joseph.

Stunning white porcelain from Revol is fired at very high temperatures to create a smooth glaze and make it exceptionally resistant to cracking or chipping. The unique, silken glaze, flat bottom and rounded edges of Revol culinary porcelain makes it easy to clean. The non-porous porcelain will not absorb fat, odors or stains, ensuring excellent hygiene, keeping with European and American standards. Revol porcelain does not contain lead, cadmium, chromium or mercury.
Revol culinary porcelain diffuses heat to the heart of the food and keeps your preparations hot on the table. Practical, elegant Revol kitchenware goes beautifully from oven to table, and is also freezer, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
