Use the Norpro Canning Bubble Popper and Measurer to remove air bubbles before sealing jars. Simply run the bubble popper around the edges of a jar while gently shifting the contents. Any trapped air will be released. After trapped air bubbles have been released, more liquid may need to be added to the jar to ensure proper head space. Convenient measure marks are included on one end of the bubble popper to measure head space. Allowing the proper head space according to processing directions for specific foods is necessary to make sure a tight vacuum seal forms.
