Elegant and sophisticated, the Le Creuset Stainless Steel 4-Quart Covered Saucepan features an aluminum core surrounded by stainless-steel. A specially magnetized outer layer allows the cookware to be used on all types of stovetops, including induction. The multi-layering is continuous throughout the pan, resulting in excellent heat conduction from base to rim. The entire circumference of each pan has a specially designed precision pour rim to prevent splashes and spills, and is perfect for left or right handed cooks. The well fitting lids allow cooking with little water or fat and are designed to conveniently rest on the oversized assist handle, held in place under the lip of the continuous, precision pour rim. The oversized assist handle allows the cookware to be easily maneuvered and picked up with two hands. Capacity markings are printed for convenience on the inside of the pan, in both US measure and metric. The overall capacity is also marked on the bottom of the pan. Though the ergonomic curved handle will conduct some heat, it is designed to be heat-resistant and remain at a manageable temperature.
