This lid is an improvement over the classic Le Creuset phenolic knobs: its wide head is easier to grip, and it can withstand temperatures up to 480 F - by comparison, classic knobs are resistant up to 375 F. Though designed for Signature Series French ovens, these knobs will fit with any classic Le Creuset cookware piece.
