As graceful as a cascading waterfall, the La Rochere Ecaille Wine Glass is named for a simple an elegant shell. Beautifully clear French glass from La Rochere pairs perfectly with any mixture of glassware. The oldest glass factory in France, La Rochere was founded in 1475, seventeen years before Christopher Columbus set foot in the Americas. La Rochere products are produced by melting, at around 1450 degrees C, a mixture of sand, soda, and lime to create silico-sodocalcic glass. Various other elements are added to refine and improve brilliance to create heavy-duty glassware that's perfect for every day use and special occasions.
