A Himalayan Salt Block is a salt cooking block that can be used for enhancing the taste of hot or cold foods. For cold foods, place the Himalayan salt block in the refrigerator for one hour to chill. The block will retain its temperature for 2 to 3 hours. When chilled, serve salads, fruits, vegetables, sushi and desserts. For hot foods, place the salt block in oven or on the grill at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. Once the block is hot, place meat on it and put it back in the oven or on the grill. The block will cook, sear, and season steak, lamb, fish or shrimp at the same time. To clean, simply wipe the salt block with a towel. No additional cleaning is required. A Himalayan salt plate is antiseptic and antibacterial. Salt plate can be used many times over and over.
